Hi Sonia,

I want to talk about something that most people over 50 are unknowingly getting wrong — and it's one of the biggest reasons for that tired, foggy feeling by midday.

Water.

I know, I know — you've heard it before. But here's what most people don't realize: as we get older, our thirst signals become less reliable. That means you can be significantly dehydrated without feeling thirsty at all.

And dehydration doesn't just make you thirsty. It makes you tired. It slows digestion. It clouds your thinking. It even contributes to those afternoon slumps that feel impossible to push through.

The good news is that fixing this is one of the simplest habits you can build.

A few things that help my clients stay well-hydrated:

Start your morning with a full glass of water before anything else. Your body has been going without for 7-8 hours overnight — it needs it first.

Eat your water, too. Foods like cucumber, celery, leafy greens, and berries are full of natural hydration that your body absorbs beautifully.

Keep a water bottle in plain sight. Out of sight really does mean out of mind.

This week, try drinking one extra glass of water before lunch every day. It takes about 10 seconds — and many of my clients tell me they notice a difference in their energy within just a few days.

If you've been feeling tired and sluggish and you're not sure where to start, this is it. Start here.

And if you'd like more simple strategies like this, I'd love to connect. Just reply to this email — I'm always happy to chat.

To your health,

Sonia
